About Us

The Boulder Is For Startups infographic was originally the brainchild of Ned McClain (@nedmcclain) and Trent Hein (@trenthein) over at AppliedTrust as a way to illustrate what an incredible community we live in. Ned often tells the story of how, when he graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Cornell in 1999, he had his choice of moving to NYC, Silicon Valley, or Boulder. While he chose Boulder, at the time all the "action" was really happening in NYC or Silicon Valley. But, today, all the action is here, right in our backyard. It is our hope that whatever tiny additional attention this effort brings to Boulder results in even more awesome stuff happening here.
